Travel More, Pack Less – How We Travel Without Checking A Luggage

I am about to tell you how you can pack for travel simply with just a carry on luggage and an agenda for adventure with a few easy steps and a checklist that will make you want to plan your next trip. Enjoying time off with your family should never be a hassle and now with these packing tips it doesn’t have to be!

Our family loves to travel and makes a point of venturing off at least 2 times a year for a week at a time. Truth is, I can live on an air plane or in a hotel for the rest of my life if I had the chance – even with kids. The carefree lifestyle of going places we haven’t seen before, the culture and all the experiences we pick up along the way are in my opinion priceless. What is an experience though if it’s ruined by waiting in line to get your luggage or better yet loosing it and having to wait for it to turn up…sucks really. Our new philosophy is to travel more, pack less and never check a luggage again!

There was a time when the kids came along when all of this travel business was stressful and we waited in many lineups just to claim our bags. I can still remember the first time we took a trip abroad with our oldest – we pretty much packed the entire household. Over the years though, we have managed to condense everything into a travel bag each and to be honest, we now enjoy the most laid back trips ever. It’s always refreshing to see peoples faces as we check into the airport or watch people with questionable eyes as we stroll right through lineups and busses with ease. I will never again travel like I used to, especially now that I have mastered the simplicity of it all.

Think about it, when travelling do you really ever wear all of the clothing items you intend to bring? Do you need to take more than a couple of pairs of shoes to look decent, and does your child need 5 pairs of swim trunks just to get through a week in the sun…if the answer is no, it’s time to change your ways!
