Recently, the 32-year-old actress, Jana Kramer hit the supermarket to purchase some baby food for her adorable daughter, and to everyone on social media’s dismay – it was jarred organic food NOT homemade from scratch.
Can you imagine the horror?
As a mom of two children who were fed exclusively breast milk and homemade baby food I am surprised that this is such a big deal in the social realm. Yes, to me natural foods were the healthiest, simplest and most ideal option for our family – I was a stay at home mom who had time and ability to make my food and freeze it while raising my boys hands on. As an actress, I can only imagine this is not the same situation for Jana – she is probably on the road a lot and the time she has is probably directed towards being with her child not making food for it. Haven’t we evolved to realize that not every family situation or ideals are the same? Jana is providing for her daughter the way any mother would – by helping her grow and flourish, the best way she knows how.
I just loved that her reply to the haters was a personal note she penned on Instagram that read “Dear Mommy Shamers, Unless you are Jolie’s doctor, her father or her mom, do NOT tell me how to raise my child, or how to feed her. Sincerely, Jolie’s MOM.”
What an inspirational mother, to stick up for your own personal decisions even after being shunned by fans and media – WTG!
