Marie Kondo Your Methods Have Made Me Angry

Marie Kondo’s methods of folding and organizing have been taking the internet and our homes by storm. I for one held off on watching any of her episodes on Netflix until now. Today I streamed episodes back to back with admiration and tiny sparks of genius about tips on how to tidy up.

My home is pretty minimal in terms of accumulating ‘stuff’ over time. I tend to throw a lot of unused items and only keep what we really need but today, I too feel overwhelmed with junk! Within minutes I was rummaging through drawers and packing things into boxes!

To be perfectly honest, I feel like aside from sharing the same name, I too could have been Marie Kondo. I mean, If you’ve ever seen my luggage when we go on vacation you’d understand.  I use the EXACT method she uses only she applies it to EVERYTHING.

Here’s a video with the basics:

Why didn’t I ever think to do this myself? I guess that’s why they pay her the big bucks!

So, off I went and pulled out all of my clothing and got to work. Folding my clothing so they stood up instead of piled on top of each other. Guess what I discovered? I could literally fit 2 drawers of t-shirts into 1 very shallow drawer.

Marie, I am now a very unhappy person…

Now I have to shop Looking at my very neat and tidy drawers I am now saddened by the fact that I need to go shopping to fill them. I feel like I will now be accumulating a lot more than I should have. Now all of my clothing has left me with lonely drawers.

I have too much free time thanks to Marie Kondo I will never be able to use the excuse of laundry, nor can I partake in Spring cleaning because you guessed it, it’s already done! Mom’s need a little time to hide, if you know what I mean.

Marie Kondo, you are an adorable person, I now have to talk to my home every time I enter it. I have to say goodbye and thank you to my clothing when I donate them and you have made me want to meditate and get more grounded. I just don’t understand how you can have it all together and still maintain that level of adorableness!

Marie Kondo, you are Pinterest in a person. I hate you because I want to be you, because deep down inside I struggle to be you.

I watch it didn’t do my drawers yet but Like you I will have empty drawers as I don’t tend to accumulate and I don’t clutter.
