In January, Abercrombie Kids introduced it’s new gender neutral clothing line called The Everybody Collection (#Everybodycollection) and word on the street is that they are ready to add to it with a very special partnership. Fashionista Giuliana Rancic and her six-year-old son Duke’s inspired collection is said to debut April 2019 and I can’t wait! I have always been a big supporter of helping children find their way without bombarding them with gender specific clothing, toys or accessories. Both of my boys were raised this way and I am passionate about the future of children without barriers or stigmas attached to them so this is BIG news!
Rewind back a few years (12 to be exact) when I was shopping for my new baby boy it was almost impossible not to purchase the colour blue for him. Most clothing was fashioned baby blue for infants and adorned with teddy bears or trucks – it was hard but I did it. I remained gender neutral and tried my best to keep it that way. Yes, in today’s society it is a lot easier to find clothing that isn’t pink or blue, but this new clothing line has me excited beyond belief.
Gender stereotypes are finally starting to crumble! Bring it on!
I also really love that a child will be involved in this process, it is said that little Duke will be picking out the colors, helping with the designs and fully engaging in the presentation of the line.
“I am beyond excited to be collaborating with a brand that empowers Duke to dress in any colour, size or style that he chooses,” Rancic said in a statement. “I love the company’s ethos and its clothes are fun and well made for kids that love to play, both important considerations for me as a mom, when shopping for Duke.”
No details have been released as of yet, but this adorable collection will be available at Abercrombie & Fitch very soon! The Everybody Collection will include 25 items of gender-neutral clothing free of labels and have taken into consideration the feedback of it’s customers. Look for it and get ready to fall in love very soon!
