I was born in the 80’s, many would argue that I am not in fact an ’80’s’ kid because I was born in 1980 and didn’t full experience the era to the fullest but I do remember it well. I remember so many parts of my childhood and fashion from the late 80’s to early 90’s is something I personally don’t want to experience again. Neon clothing that made you look like some sort of pylon from afar, spandex bicycle shorts with just enough shine to show off those dimply parts of your body, and let’s not forget the gold chains and bling… too many mishaps to name.
Guess what guys…
It’s making a HUGE comeback, only this time I feel it’s far worse of a transition. Clothing is brighter (if that’s even possible), spandex is tighter, and the bling covers teeth, nails and even stroked across the eyelids of the top trendsetters.
Maybe it’s just me, but I just don’t get it. In a world where natural beauty was taking over, we get this crazy contrast now? I feel like it’s all been done before and if we hated it then, it must have been within reason.
Take a look at my personal faves and try to keep a straight face, bet you can’t.
