The personal narrative of our lives is nearly impossible to control anymore and it looks like the simple reason for it lies in our investment in the internet. I am not saying that we don’t have control over our lives but parenting in particular has changed over the years since our reliance on the world-wide web. Most people would agree that the internet has made our children lazier, and some may even go as far to say that they are not as polite as they once were. So many negatives outweigh the positives, but what about the fact that information is right at their fingertips and they can find connections all over the world with the click of a mouse. Was life really better before screens were put in the hands of our children? Mixed reactions to everyday comparisons are often argued by opposing sides.
