This past Monday, Meghan Trainor—released her music video for her latest single, “Me Too,” only to quickly remove it minutes later. The reason you ask? “They photoshopped the crap out of me,” she told her fans on Snapchat. Trainor, who made her name with the song “All About That Bass,” is known to celebrate a curvy form in all shapes and sizes, and that is exactly why I am super-happy she made it very clear to her following that not everything you see on Television is ‘real’.
On instagram she posted this very noticeable comparison:
Trainor says her body was changed, to mimic someone possessing Britney Spears’ body without her permission. She went on to make sure that the video be fixed and represent her real body before it’s once again made public.
Humm…makes you wonder how many videos/photos are messed with…
“I’m so sick of it, and I’m over it, so I took it down until they fix it,’ Trainor said on Snapchat, with a caption that read “Cried all morning lol hate them.” “My waist is not that teeny, I had a bomb waist that night. I don’t know why they didn’t like my waist, but I didn’t approve that video, and it went out for the world, so I’m embarrassed. I told them to fix it ASAP Rocky because I will be going to Times Square to play it for my fans so I hope they fix it for me. I’m sorry.”
This young woman is off to do great things for our youth, for our society as a whole. She really knows how to live in her skin and my only hope is that young individuals look up to more starlets such as this one.
