Don’t know about you, but my house always seems to retain a neutral scent about it. Nothing’s wrong with neutral but when I visit my friends or family members i am immediately overwhelmed with a fresh simple aroma to their homes and I’ve often wondered how they do it without bombarding their washrooms and hallways with candles and scented plug ins! With 2 kids who are graduating to the teen years soon occupying most of the space, a husband who is always running in and out of the house and a tiny dog who’s cage sits in the far corner of the dining room adjacent to my front door it is hard to keep my house smelling anything like a bouquet of roses.
Since my husband and son are super-sensitive to any artificial odour eliminators I jumped at the chance to review the Maison Berger Paris line. Founded over 100 years ago by a French Pharmacist to purify the air in hospitals. The simple idea has come a long way since then, helping to combat odors of all kinds – food, pet and smoke to name a few. So many scents and ways to purify the air too! I don’t know which scent is my favourite yet to be honest, they are all so pretty and not overwhelming at all.
The catalytic lamp is my fave, so chic looking and comes in a variety of different shapes and sizes. They are pretty to look at and some people even collect them! The lamps are used by simply lighting them for 2 minutes (after set up) the air instantly gets a mask of wonderful scent that lasts hours! My tip for the lamp is to add some of the neutral to mask an overwhelming scent if you find it to be overwhelming.
Maison Berger also has simple bottles with sticks/reids that absorb oils to dispense into the air around them – these are perfect for small rooms to keep the air smelling woderful. I love them for my bathrooms and laundry rooms, as with all their products they are super pretty to look at too. If you are looking to expand or perhaps gift someone something unique (think teacher gifts) the candles make for a great statement. So many options and so many ways to keep smelling fresh, there is something truly for everyone in the Maison Berger lineup. My most recent discovery is the adorable ceramic flower…I can be talking about their lineup forever! I will stop here *wink* you must experience it yourself to believe it.
I now host the traditional Orgami Clear lamp in my dining room because it is such a pretty piece on its own and I can light it just before guests arrive to keep the air in the home fresh smelling. The useful oil reid sets live in both of my bathrooms daily to mask unwanted odours – if you know what I mean. Overall, maintaining a fresh smelling home has never been easier! I am confident to say that I now have a really pure-smelling home without much effort at all. Not to mention every one of my friends and family members have asked me to gift them a set of their own for their upcoming birthdays. Guess what’s on the top of my Christmas gift list this year?
