Crafting: Magic ‘Disappearing’ Snowman

Let me start off by saying that this was A LOT of fun for my 2 little guys. We have been bombarded with snow outside and it seems that we never truly make it outdoors to enjoy it because the temperatures are either too cold or too wet, so we invented the indoor snowman as a temporary replacement.

I usually make 1/2 of the mixture and it works out great for 2 people, but you can make enough for 4 if you like, or 2 larger snowmen.

Here’s what you need (makes 4):
-a waterproof hat (we use playmobil pieces for this)
-some ‘buttons’ (small beads work well)
-arms (toothpicks, twigs etc)

Ingredients:
-2 cups baking soda
-2 tablespoons dishwashing liquid soap
-4 tablespoons water
– white vinegar (about 4 cups)

Ready, go!!
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, except for the vinegar. You will get a crumbly mixture that should hold into a ball formation when made. Make your snowman and decorate. Once ready, cover him with the white vinegar to see him ‘disappear.’ My kids love playing with the left over mixture because it becomes frothy and fun!

Enjoy!
