Fathers Day has always been super special to me because I was born the day after it and over the years I have kind of claimed it as my own personal gift to (in my opinion) the greatest man on the planet. Every single year I struggle to find the perfect card for the man who has set all of my expectations through the roof and standards above any average imaginable.
Every year I write paragraphs after paragraphs about how much he means to me and yet the words are just never enough. Seems as time passes, I realise how much more my dad means to me, especially now that I have a husband who comes a really close second to him and two growing boys who will hopefully one day become men and fathers themselves.
For me, the card itself sets president as to how much thought and effort has been put into a life event or gift – I know this sounds silly but it holds true to me.
