Easy No Sew Winter Sock Friends

Whether you are looking for a cute DIY craft project or for a fun friend for your littles, this no-sew sock snowman craft is something to try.  These make excellent craft ideas for the holidays and adorable decor pieces for your home. You’ll fall in love with how easy and simple these are to make and probably make a whole slew of them like we did, just because.

What You Will Need:

  • Mens White Sweat Socks
  • Mens Black Sweat Socks
  • Colorful Fuzzy Socks
  • Rice
  • Small Rubber Bands
  • Tacky Glue
  • Black and Orange Sharpie Markers
  • Poly Fill or Cotton
  • White Felt

Step 1:

Cut the ribbed part (above the ankle area) off of the sock, fill the bottom with about 1 cup of rice. Then stuff the rest of the sock with poly fill or cotton leaving approx 2 inches from the top.  Use a small elastic to secure closed.

Step 2:

Cut the fuzzy sock approximately 4 inches from the top – if it is striped like the one we used, just cut to the top stripe. Secure the end with a rubber band to make a touque. cut the remaining part of the sock into 2 1 inch pieces to make the neck of the scarf and dangle.

Step 3:

Tie elastic band to separate the head from the body, making a 2 part snowman or penguin. If you are making the penguin add the felt body at this point and adhere it with the elastic.

Step 4:

Color beaded eyes with a sharpie black and tacky glue them to the face. With the orange marker make sure to make a nose or beak for your character using the felt and glue to the face to complete.
