Every time I see a box of those adorable 'O's I remember my tiny little boys endlessly trying to pinch each one and placing them in their gummy mouths. Cheerios maintain a sense of nostalgia for me, they are reminders that children will grow but some memories will last forever. My first was a master of the pincer grip, he was able to eat those little 'O's at such a rate that even I could't keep up! We took this cereal EVERYWHERE! It was a lifesaver many times, especially on a 4 hour flight to Mexico with a 15 month old!!
When my second child came a long, there was no question he would be a great eater, and once again Cheerio's came to the rescue! Since it was the only food besides breast-milk that he actually enjoyed, I was happy he was getting some kind of nutritional solid food in him! Awwww the moments a mama never forgets -- Cheerios are a part of my family's growth.
Now years later, it is still a family favourite! My kiddos love to nibble on them while watching a movie or on long road-trips...a savoir if you ask me ;) Our newest thing is making Cheerio necklaces for craft time, the snack just keeps evolving!!
