October hosts many events to be proud of, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and one remarkable event that had taken the color PINK to the next level. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month according to Susan G Komen. Women everywhere celebrate this month as a tribute to women who have lost the fight as well as women who are surviving everyday.
The Cancer Society estimates that 23,200 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 5,300 will die of the disease in Canada alone this year.
Do your part this month and think PINK!!
Generally, I am not a fan of all the 'pink ribbon' products on the market simply because they scream BREAST CANCER. But, I have compiled a fairly subtle list on ways you can support and not look 'cheesy.' Afterall, pink can be chic right?
