Ok, I know you are all looking at this product with a little disbelief and probably a little bit of 'what is it' and 'why would they do that to the poor child.' The Juppy Baby Walker is the newest alternative to wheeled baby walkers, quite simply it is putting your child on 'strings.' Lets face it, the pre-walking time period is probably the toughest on a parents back.
Lets first start off by pointing out the negative, I am not a fan (only like the black) of the colors, but then again all baby items are a little cheezy in that respect, nor do I like the personalization, unless it is used for something other than the baby's name. I mean, I wouldn't want everyone calling my child's name on the street! Secondly, this walker involves some work on the parents behalf--something most parents will dislike.
On to the positives! (there are a lot)
I really love that this walker is easy to slip on and throw in your purse! As well, it is easy to clean and fits just about any toddler and any parental height. I also found The Juppy Walker to be perfect for parents who like to know where their children are at all times, does not let them out of your site for a minute. I used this on my friends child, and she loved it! it was simple, and fun! I personally think she thought she was in a ride of some sort, she quickly scampered around the room looking for things she could now try to reach--great thing was, we had total control of her!
No bending required, and full support for the child! I wish I had this for my first child because he was an early walker and tiny in frame, The Juppy would have made my back a lot less stressed from the constant bending. One quick tip: We attached a toy to the strap so that the child had something to play with while in movement, this gave the mother some time to rest and the child a little bit of practice with her balance.
Someone should have thought of this product sooner! Would have avoided the sad statistic of over 21,000 injured children annually related to wheeled baby walkers! Whats better is that it is affordable! prices start at $19.99!!
