Today, we discovered that a 10 year old girl in Colombia has given birth to a 5 lb little girl. 10 YEARS OLD!!! Can you believe it? I mean, she is so young, will she be able to care for this child to her best ability? Is she ready to grow up? So many questions crossed my mind as I realized that this may actually be 'normal' in some tribes and in some states....but not my own!

Couldn't agree with this statement more! Shocked with this revelation, I decided to research this topic. After some research I found that this young girl is in fact NOT the youngest to give birth! Turns out the youngest girl to give birth ever was actually 5 years old!!
